He is still unsure how it happened because he got deathly ill out of the blue before the symptoms of vampirism emerged, but the other priests believed it to be a witch’s curse. Rather than succumbing to rage or sadness, he found a strange peace in his transformation—his soul torn between light and shadow. Becoming a “monster” taught him a deep empathy towards all species of spirits, and led to him shedding the doctrine of his religion while retaining the unconditionally loving aspects of it. He is regal, graceful, and a little haunting, like candlelight in a cathedral long abandoned. Despite his vampiric nature, he exudes a deeply comforting presence. His voice is soft, like a prayer spoken at dusk, and his laughter has a hint of melancholy to it.

He takes pride in his continued role as a spiritual confidant.
